Dual rubber seals run along both side rails and across the tailgate edge, creating overlapping contact zones that block wind-driven rain and highway spray. While the SRX prioritizes quick access over maximum security, the buckle latches lock into the side rails with enough tension to deter casual theft. The SRX roll-up design gives you full bed access in one motion — release the buckles and roll the cover forward. Tri-fold covers require you to unlatch and fold multiple panels, which takes longer and limits bed access to two-thirds unless you remove panels entirely.
Roll-ups also store more compactly behind the cab when open, leaving your sight lines clear. Tri-folds offer slightly better rigidity when closed, but the SRX’s aluminum bows provide enough support for most cargo needs.
The SRX requires at least 60 inches of unobstructed bed rail length to mount properly. If your fifth-wheel hitch or bulkhead toolbox leaves less space, the cover won’t fit.
Measure from the back of your cab to the front edge of your hitch or toolbox before ordering. Some customers with removable fifth-wheel mounts install the SRX when the hitch is out, then reinstall the hitch for towing trips.
